Recently in class, we focused on the five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. Each asana practice focused on the quality of the elements (grounding, flowing, heat, etc.), and we ended with a delicious guided meditation that incorporated images and feelings of the elements. I promised I’d record these mediations.

This meditation draws upon the elements of air and Ether to promote our insight and clarity of thought. So often our mind gets stuck in a rut, and cannot see all of our options, or the truth of how things really are. This meditation expands on the Journey through Fire meditation: it begins the same as we clear away old baggage. But then it continues, and we widen our perspective, breaking free of narrow thought patterns. Take a 15 minute break, and open your mind to all possibilities!
